Fill date Distance Fill amount Price MPG Details
2009-01-09 426.9 mi. 17.56 US gal $1.699 24.31 US
2008-12-31 413.1 mi. 17.69 US gal $1.409 23.35 US Costco was .07 cheaper per gallon than ARCO today... Hooray. Very cold weather & rain for this month. Unusual for Phoenix. Cheaper gas has reduced my motivation for hypermiling, but for a stock V6 truck with 4 doors, still not bad. Reading on the Tacoma World forum most Taco owners feel like they are doing good with only 20MPG. I am doing much better.
2008-12-22 429.5 mi. 18.25 US gal $1.479 23.53 US 12.259 X 1.479 + .45 transaction fee = 27.01
2008-12-12 453.9 mi. 18.05 US gal $1.539 25.15 US Paid cash at ARCO no transaction charge, but was penalized by having to wait in line.
2008-12-05 447.6 mi. 18.31 US gal $1.699 24.45 US Arco was .05 per gallon cheaper than the usual place, Costco, but they have a .45 transaction fee for the debit card. 18.31 gallons x .05 = .9155 - .45 = .4655 in savings, and it is a little closer to home. I also had let my tire pressure slip from 50PSI to about 42PSI, but now I have a compressor at home so I can keep up with the tire pressure better. 43PSI is still better than the manufacturers recommendation of 29PSI. The tire sidewall says 51PSI MAX.
2008-11-27 289.4 mi. 11.43 US gal $1.859 25.32 US filled up early to take road trip
2008-11-21 447 mi. 18.22 US gal $2.069 24.53 US
2008-11-12 528.8 mi. 21.42 US gal $2.31 24.69 US Bank was closed Veterans Day. Had to buy a couple gallons with quarters, so I added the two receipts together.
2008-11-01 443.1 mi. 17.67 US gal $2.639 25.08 US
2008-10-21 475.1 mi. 18.83 US gal $2.89 25.23 US Gas prices have dropped under $3.00
2008-09-23 432.4 mi. 17.65 US gal $3.319 24.5 US I am back from vacation and back to work.
2008-08-20 471.6 mi. 18.91 US gal $3.599 24.94 US
2008-08-11 465.6 mi. 17.86 US gal $3.779 26.07 US
2008-07-31 472 mi. 19.07 US gal $3.859 24.75 US
2008-07-20 450 mi. 19.22 US gal $3.979 23.41 US
2008-07-10 436.4 mi. 17.67 US gal $4.059 24.7 US
2008-07-02 495.4 mi. 19.25 US gal $4.059 25.74 US I used my truck to do some moving of stuff, and my AC use has gone up because it doesn't cool down enough at night anymore to do without it, but I am very happy with the numbers.
2008-06-23 479.6 mi. 18.85 US gal $4.079 25.44 US commuting plus road trip to Sedona for a bicycle ride. the speed limit was 75 but tried to keep it well below that. Tonneau removed and bicycle in bed of truck.
2008-06-18 402.9 mi. 17.52 US gal $4.079 23 US Took an offroad trip this tank. Ruduced tire pressure at trail head to 27 PSI for better ride and traction on rough road. Drove up and over the Four Peaks Rd with my woman and her 2 kids. The trail goes up to around 7000 feet on maintained desert dirt road. They say you need a high clearance 4X4, but I have driven a old school dodge van up there, and only a lowered ricer would have trouble, a normal economy car could go, but the going would be slow. 23 MPG considering this is not bad at all.
2008-06-14 455.4 mi. 17.52 US gal $4.069 25.99 US Commuting/errand running
2008-06-06 485.2 mi. 18.2 US gal $3.899 26.66 US I seem to be getting better at this hypermiling thing.
2008-05-30 369.5 mi. 14.75 US gal 25.05 US Filled early because the dealer offered to fill my tank because they asked me to come and sign paperwork they forgot to have me sign. I only had a 1/4 tank left, free gas woo hoo!
2008-05-25 372.8 mi. 18.34 US gal $3.799 20.33 US Filled up just north of Phoenix on the way home from Vegas. I was in a hurry to get home(had to work) so I was driving a little faster than I would for Fuel Efficiency.
2008-05-24 391.9 mi. 17.02 US gal $3.839 23.03 US filling up in Las Vegas had to prepay, and paid $65, close but not topped off.
2008-05-24 313.5 mi. 12.61 US gal $3.759 24.86 US filling up before empty to go to Las Vegas
2008-05-19 428.4 mi. 17.72 US gal $3.459 24.18 US Had already started using some hypermiling techniques.
2008-05-13 355 mi. 17.7 US gal 20.06 US Took delivery of vehicle with full tank, did not get receipt for first fill up after the initial tank. the gallons is a guess based on next fill.
