Silver Aero: 2004 Honda Civic EX Sedan Automatic
Displacement: 1.7 L
Fuel type: gasoline
Transmission: automatic
Curb weight: 2668 lbs
Coefficient of drag: 0.32
Frontal area: 22.5 sq.ft.
Instrumentation: Torque app
Description: Goal is to consistently beat the average fuel economy of a Prius (46 mpg), and to not dip below 40 MPG in the winter. 50+ MPG tanks are welcome too.

All mods must be 100% reversible to stock with no damage to the car.

At a lifetime average of 40 MPG, Fuelly shows me in the top 9% of all 2004 Honda Civic owners, and in the top 5% of all non-hybrid 2004 Honda Civic owners.

Best recorded trip: 58.2 mpg (5/15/2018).
Best recorded day: 57.7 mpg (5/23/2018).

Planned Mods: Planned ecomods:
- Wheel spats (implemented with wheel skirts)
- Side skirts (implemented with wheel skirts)
- LED lighting (after current bulbs burn out)
- Weight reduction (theoretically +1 mpg per 100 lbs deleted)
- Aero/low profile windshield wipers (after current ones break)

Ecomods under consideration:
- Windshield wiper deflector (would there really be any benefit??)
- Engine pay underbody paneling from same gen Civic Hybrid (+.6?)
- Weather stripping to seal gaps around front hood and rear trunk
- Power steering delete (+1?)
- Lighter wheels + taller, narrower LRR tires (long time down the road when my current ones wear out)
Total hypothesized improvement: ~3.5 mpg
