I bought this bike on clearance at the end of 2006. I wanted a fast bike (my previous bike was a low end road bike from the 80s). The bike is not perfect for the way I use it. I am realizing the many modern road bikes are a poor choice for commuting/utility. This bike has no rack eyelets and cannot have fenders or tires bigger then 28mm.
2009 update: I have lost track of total miles but I assume the bike has +3,000 miles on it now. I have broke 3 spokes. I had a shifting mishap and the derailer hanger broke but, the bike still has plenty of life in it.
