Daily driver, I average about 35000 km / 22000 miles a year in my car the past 2 years I've owned it.
Not the stock .Cd, because I had a "delete" of my plastic underpan that muffles the engine a little.
Build Thread:
Current Mods:
1) Coroplast 2/3 Radiator block (behind the top and bottom inlets, but in front of the radiator). Installed year round with no large change in temperatures, in all types of driving. (2007/11/17th)
2) MAF screen delete. Untested delete going on the theory that a less restrictive intake will lead to a more efficient engine. (2008/7/30th)
3) Tire pressures raised up to 40-44psi (44psi is the max sidewall pressure stated on my tires
4) Driver nut adjustment.
5) Scanguage-II purchased and installed. (2008/08/07th)
6) 1/8" Perforated steel underpan from front valance to front suspension cross-member. Covers area that normal stock pan did, and more. (2009/05/24th)
Planned Mods:
Near Future:
1) Fix underbody so that stock wheel wells, and stock underpan are replaced.
2) Full undertray, in stages. As coroplast parts are proven out, I'll make more permanent panels out of a durable amterial (not yet determined)
3) Rear Wheel Skirts. My car is silver, so making a colour match will be hard - I'll probably go with black.
Further future:
1) Rig up a CFD model so I can test commercial mods, so I don't blow a whack of cash on things with dubious benefit. All mentioned mods after this will ionly go ahead pending model verification.
2) Stubby Antenna
3) Stubby Mirrors
4) Internal ducting before and/or aft of the radiator.
5) Rear window roof Kammback or spoiler (depending on how large it needs to be...)
