2002 Toyota Corolla 1ZZFE 1794cc with VVTi
139,000 miles on the odometer.
I've owned this car since March 2004 when I bought it from my father (he bought another Corolla) with 26,000 miles on it. Dubbed the Rolling Lemon because of its history of repairs, this car's reliability has been excellent but for a few instances. At 46,000 miles the engine needed to be replaced. The oil pump had been faulty for 15,000+ miles, so the mechanic had told me, and he couldn't believe it was still running. That says something about regular 3,000 mile oil changes. Then at 70,000 miles the entire A/C and defrosting system needed to be replaced. Such is Life.
Current Mods:
-Scangauge I
-K and N Air Filter Cartridge. I Wasn't in R and D yet, found that these are actually detrimental to engine wear until a cake has formed on the filter, even then they're still not as good as paper. :P
-Snorkel Removed for Warmer Air Intake
-Radiator block
-Tires inflated to 50+ psi
Planned Mods:
-Grill block (It got too wet and it was destroyed)
-Scangauge II
-I'm engineering a HAI that incorporates an oil cooler/heater core.
-Radiator shroud breather (needs a new name)
-192*F Thermostat (can only find 170* and 180*, and I've searched everywhere.)
-Full under body pan
-Aerodynamic mods to cut Cd Drastically.
-More as time and money allows.
