Description: Picture above is not my bike, but mine looks basically the same.

1988 CBR 250R. 4 cylinder 250cc, 18000+ rpm.Currently in process of mild restoration: New fairings, new paint on rims. One of less than ten in America.

EPA combined rating set to average of MC19s and MC22s on fuelly

ODO and speedo may be off and inflating mileage numbers, but have not confirmed yet.

Planning a frontal area and coastdown test to determine Cd and CdA.

I am aiming for a lifetime mpg of around 56, that sounds reasonable. If I ever get taller geared sprockets, bump that up to 60.
Build Thread:
Current Mods: Aero: None

Drivetrain: Non O-ring chain, Aftermarket muffler (bringing down mileage), 90 main jet (stock is 85), 1 5/8 turns out for pilot jet(stock setting instead of richer), 38 PSI front, 41 PSI rear, all four spark plugs indexed to intake valves

Electrical: None

Planned Mods: Aero: Front radiator ducting and partial rear ducting, Foam blocks to cover front "air intakes", rear fender, belly pan to cover exhaust and deflect air from rear tire, fork air deflectors

Drivetrain: Taller gearing, adjust idle speed from 1500 rpm to 1200 when engine is warm, extra brake drag reduction clips(or some to begin with...), Synchronize the FOUR carburetors, make a set of headers that aren't bigger than a LITER BIKE'S!

Electrical: Clean up grounding points, lighter battery, dank white LED underglow

Riding style: Limit screaming to when it will be productive

Misc mods: Aluminum subframe, drill out less important bolts for weight reduction, bro,
