Too late now anyway.

California was great until the Frankfurt School Marxists landed there in the 1930s after the Nazis drove them out of Germany. They looked around, hated every Capitalist thing they saw, and set to subvert it. There is a direct line from there to Antifa.

It's taking a military counter-coup, but maybe California can be Great Again.

edit: Oops, not The Lounge. Obligatory:

I found L.A. to be ugly, loud, and smelly. I was there for a Women with Grad School convention and there were quite a number of other inconveniences and annoyances unrelated to L.A. itself, but it would have taken me an hour to reach an old Army friend living twelve miles away.

Had I been able to see an Arcimoto I would have said the trip was worthwhile, but I would only have told people about that, while my employer spent at least two thousand dollars to send me.

L.A. Auto Show coverage (Jalopnik test drive report)

Jalopnik covers Arcimoto, and test drives one in L.A. traffic:

https://jalopnik.com/you-can-have-a-...-ha-1820842729

Summary: fun, well made, neat looking, might just fill a "cheap EV" niche.

Quote:
you can now apparently buy brand-new EV with decent specs like a 70 mile range and 80 mph top speed, for about half the price of a very cheap car. But, also yes, it is, in some respects, pretty much... half a car.
There's also a ~10 minute video embedded on that page (FB?) which will probably also show up on YouTube at some point.

The comments after the article are interesting.

So far, 20 of them say:

Just buy a used Leaf.

That's Red. I've stood next to it on a few occasions.

Yeah, but it's the fun half.

edit:
I'm looking for the Car & driver interview with Mark Frohnmayer, if anyone else sees it. Meanwhile a subReddit (not much traffic since the factory opening): https://www.reddit.com/r/Arcimoto/

People allow you to discuss this stuff?!

I have been thinking the name wrong this entire time. Why are they policing my thoughts?!

Wut the H? He gets schooled at !:28. But he did find the thing right off — where you put your feet. No man-spreading inside the roll cage. The most comfortable position I found was feet on the upper A-arms.

The first accessory I'd want is clip-on 'Frisco cruiser' foot pegs.

I asked Jesse if he's related to Emerson. He knew who that is, but didn't know the relationship.

It must be Italian pronunciation.
