It's pronounced phonetically. Who knew, didn't see that one coming.

It must be Italian pronunciation.
Are you renouncing your pronoun?

It's really too bad foolish regulations force these types of vehicles to have no more than three wheels in order to eliminate the need for crash testing and airbags which would knock them out of viability. I would get one as a winter commuter but the single tire in the back would be tracking right through the slush stripe in the middle of the lane and skipping all over the place.
.
Give me the same type of vehicle with aero pods over two rear wheels (all wheels) and I would buy one.

Would it be easier to replace one wheel in the back with two, compared to making a car a trike?

It may not be so hard at all to replace the single rear wheel with two, the problem is all about the regulations. BTW it makes me wonder how would a narrow-track dual rear wheel similar to the one used in the Isetta become a viable option.

jalopnik:There's Actually A Decent Reason Why Germans Will Spend $5,000 To Ruin Their Cars

There is at least one reason to do that but it's very expensive.

Seven years after winning the X-Prize there is still nothing like an Edison2 for sale.

Because of stupid crash and safety regulations in the USA. Yet a 16 year old can walk into a dealership and ride away on a Hayabusa as his first motorcycle.

I don't understand why Edison never sold their in-wheel-hub suspension and steering into the SEMA aftermarket as a bolt-on part to fit the 1937 Ford tubular front axle.

How many 1937 Fords are still around?

Still, who passes up opportunities to make money?

The FMVSS are not "stupid" just frustrating if you don't know how to get through the process. For a small start up company crash test costs and liability insurance premiums can be a major hurdle. Fabricating a beam axle to go with the Edison2 suspension would be easy enough. A kit car could work. Does anyone have some pics of the in wheel suspension?
