FYI, Arcimoto are having an open house at the factory in West-side Eugene, OR, following a stock-holders meeting in the morning this Saturday. Food trucks and free tours from what I hear.

Also, Springfield German Import Auto Parts is having a show/swap day at their old location on Olympic behind UPS on Father's Day.

There's at least one poster here who has a reservation number in the 100s and made it to the initial roll-out in downtown Eugene in 2016 and their factory open house last year.

Today was the shareholder's meeting followed by an open house. They had a photo opp line-up, speeches, food trucks and a DJ. There was one example in a dazzle camo vinyl wrap that I didn't get a picture of. I heard it had a new quad-headlight setup but it was parked nosed into a corner the rest of the day.

I heard a production number I won't repeat because I don't know if it's official. Lets just say less than Tesla. They did talk about throwing up another building and moving the production equipment into it. And there is lots of industrial shelving under tarps outside.

They think the whole factory is replicable. They talked about autonomous parking, but the Minimum Viable Product will operate without a smart phone. They expect a moderately optioned FUV to run around $15K, with the base price at $11.9K.

I had a Tempeh Ruben sandwich and a Dominator IPA.

When I parked and walked up to a crowd of eight people, one of them (a Euro-expat up from LA) was all curious about the diesel Dasher. He thought the green window tint was Ero-spec only and it's based on the NSU 80. So it was a nice introduction to the crowd.

What do you think of the silver-painted roll-cage. I think I prefer black.

White cage. Not as pretty as black, but won't burn your hands when you've parked in the sun for a while.

You'll notice there are grab handles for the rear seat integrated into the roll cage. None of them were showing off the new folding rear seat that turns the FUV into a micro-van.

That's the CEO himself buckling up the four point belts. One comment in the speeches was that the shop is full of happy people who whistle while they work.

That sounds aggravating.

You know that the Smothers Brothers said "So if you see any kids walking down the street whistling — slap 'em down," because the words are dirty.

So, the Arcimoto crew obviously has dirty minds.

That looks more like the real thing than the Elio ever was.

Black roll cage looks better, methinks.
