View of the updated belly pan support system. Pulled the zip ties off and installed a 1"x2" section of wood to fill the space between the tubing and the belly pan. The wood section will also allow fer me to insert a gap spacer between the front tubing and the belly pan. I will have to work on that spacer in the morning. The skeeters were homing in on me!

So I was thinking...
Since I have the support structure based on the non-articulating part of the swivel wheel, I should be able to install a framework off it fer a partial wheel pant. I should then be able to skin the framework with Coroplast and not worry about it hitting the front part of the belly pan as long as I keep within the swivel area of the swivel wheel.
The nose of the wheel pant should be made from rubber conveyor belt so if I do back into the curb, it can rebound back without losing its shape. Maybe the whole wheel pant should be made from rubber conveyor belt material...

Got more work done...
Standoffs completed...
Front reflector/deflector in place...
Wheel pant taking shape...
The exposed section near the wheel axle will be covered over with some steel flashing and secured in place. I still have spacers to make up fer the tail as well as the front cover.

All fixed up and ready fer a test run!
Tucked up underneath...
I had an air leak somewhere in the air bag setup so I had to take it all apart and replaced the Rectorseal Blue with some Loctite red 242. No more leaks!
A quick run to my son's school yielded some serious head snapping! Outside of that, everything held up fine.

Got on the road and hit traffic in Hearne. 
Indicated mileage from College Station to Denton was 27.6mpg at 65mph. Met up with aerohead and had dinner at Burger King and some good conversation. Indicated mileage from Denton to Ardmore (first fill up) was 29.4mpg at 65mph. Calculated mileage (distance/gallons) was 28.3mpg! Best ever fer this run with Dark Aero!
Indicated mileage from Ardmore to Wichita (distance/gallons) was 30.4 at 65mph. Actual gas mileage was 31.77mpg at 65mph! Second best run fer this run and best run with Dark Aero in tow...

Last year's run was 26.04mpg from College Station to Ardmore (with a stop in Denton) and 28.11mpg from Ardmore to Wichita.

Congratulations, you're in VW Beetle mileage territory. I saw my car parked next to aerohead's T-100 a few years ago, it looked tiny.
So you have the front seat. Is any of the space in the bed or trailer useable at all?
