Sounds like you have a crappy used car market around you. Compared to the alternatives, I'd say you got a good deal.
By financing through the dealer, do you mean they arranged financing with a bank/credit union for you, or that the dealer is making the loan? Be aware of the interest rate and terms, especially if its through the dealer.

I financed at the dealership, through a credit union. Rate wasn't bad because we have good credit (5.5%).

I hate financing things, I like paying cash, but a string of bad luck and moving expenses have taken their tole on my finances this year.

By the way, picked the car up this afternoon and drove it for a couple of hours. It doesn't accelerate particularly quickly, but it's nimble and runs quiet and cool. It is the three speed, but I like it anyway. I have a feeling I can put on a lot of miles to this car.

Looks to be in good condition I always liked the tail lights of the Prism better than the Corolla.

Didn't know the Prism had a rear fender mounted antenna. On the Corolla it runs along the drivers side front pillar & is retractable.
