Fitting onto NC700X

Hi all

I am taking delivery of an NX700X which doesnt have an mpg gauge, but the test ride I had on a 750S had an MPG gauge, so I am going to add an MPGuino on.

I have already added the gauge into my old Honda XL125v with PGMFI, so this should be doable as well.

I have read about the imperial MPG display bug, is this still a problem? Will UK MPG be displayed accurately?

Now have the bike (which is excellent btw!).

Just waiting for the MPGuino to arrive and I will be digging into the cabling. Once done, I will put a write up online.

Thanks, I really like it for the short period I have had it.

I am going to add a reed switch and magnet for the mpguino rather than tying into the vss as the last time I used the vss it had a stupidly high pulses per mile.

Hey Alex... how about an update!!?? I just recently purchased a really nice low mile NC700x manual from the original owner with only 1702 miles on it! He named his price of $2500 cash and i grabbed it! A buddy just grabbed a 2013 for $3500 this last Saturday! We both really like them, so fun to ride, sitting upright and comfortable and the mileage is incredible for a bile that size! He's getting about 65mpg and i've been getting 65-75 with a personal best just the other day of 86MPG!!

Hope you're still riding and liking yours!! Many Blessings! :{)

I for one am eager to see what you can pull off with the NC700X. I already have two bikes, both of which aren't particularly good on fuel, and I am not allowed to have a third. Would love to try out an NC700X, but would also have to choose between that and the newer CBR 250R. I found your bike on fuelly. Interested to see what that 17T front sprocket will do for you.

Thanks DC, i am so very happy with the NC700x. It is an amazing machine. I would probably get better mileage yet if i had not installed that IXIL slip-on pipe! Man, it is just so much fun cracking that throttle and hearing that pipe crack to life! I'm old, but i still like loud pipes! The stock one is so quiet, you can hardly tell it is running. Standing next to it you can carrying on a conversation and not talk loud. We are supposed to have some rain here tomorrow. So tomorrow after work I might have time to install the 17T and maybe the new Skid plate that just arrived that i ordered! :{)
