Details are here: Dakota-Durango: Does anyone here use fuel rail cooling?

I remember coming up with the idea to do something about fuel temperatures after dealing with yet another instance of heat-soaked lack of response. Somebody else in that thread actually mentioned feeding the two banks independently, as a possible way of equalizing fuel temperatures.

Apparently, Summit Racing now states they do not recommend the Twist-Tite stuff for fuel use. I therefore recommend fabricating the fuel hoses out of braided nylon hoses and hose ends.
I knew AIRRAM had insulated his fuel rails, but I didn't think about the advantages. My 07 has 4 O2 sensors and 2 cats (not sure if that's how your 00 is), so I am curious to see how just some insulating tape might change fuel economy...

I can't find very many 12 hole injectors at all, and cannot find anything that flows 19 lb/hr. Nearest I can figure, your injector cross-references to a Bosch 0280150955. That is an EV1 single pintle design with a Jetronic connector.

You may still get some improvement in FE by switching from your existing EV1 injectors to EV6 injectors that have 4 holes. I found injectors that will probably work, and they are p/n 0280155709. However, they apparently are only found in Europe.

When I look on RockAuto I can't tell how many holes the injectors have. I still have the stock single hole ones so even a 4-hole would be an improvement. I would love more holes if possible. Also isn't there a diference in high impedance and low impedance injectors. Not sure which I have (low I think) but I'm sure they aren't compatible. Any insight you have would be great.

Thanks
Basically, I do a lot of searching. For instance, I figure that your Ford Ranger uses an injector with an EV1 design, has a Jetronic D electrical connector, uses a 2.4 ohm resistance injector, and is rated at 34 lb/hr at 43.5 psig. It appears to be a peak/hold design.

And... unfortunately, I can find no injectors that have even an EV6 4-hole design that also has this flow rate and this electrical resistance.

Jeep 4.0 runners report good improvements in older threads by going to 4 hole. However, 12 hole are available for the 4.0 now.

I don't want to hijack the thread, BUT I'm trying to find 12 hole, high impedance, ev6 injectors somewhere north of 24lb/hour (260hp v6).

Any ideas?

Also, I found a chart that shows my 280-156-300's as both 24 and 34 lb/hr??

t vago.... With what little research I have done (and I mean little) I was under the impression I had 14lb injectors in the Ranger. Single hole and EV1. I was told at one time I could try the 19lb injectors without having to change anything and a giving the Ranger a few tanks to get acquainted with them. I see RA has 4 hole 14lb injectors and even that may be an improvement from my OE 1 hole design. As old as the truck is (almost 300k miles) I am looking for simple "bolt-on" type improvements at this point. Just trying to squeeze as much as I can out of her before I have to look for something different.

Not sure if it will help anyone but I found this earlier today. It has some flow rates and other info.
