Reminds me of the Peugeot 306 I had in Australia, that thing made it across the outback and up some pretty impressive offroad trails when they were dry. Small FWD cars can go though a surprising amount of stuff if driven carefully with a bit of skill. I kept it going but it was basically worth scrap when traded it for a ride to the airport when it was time to go back home.

That was a nice Geographic display of Geological Geotracking by a GeoMetric

I had a lot of fun off-roading small FWD cars while I was learning how to drive.

For me it was RWD sideways on gravel. It ended when I tried it in a car with a fresh coat of paint.

RWD was not mainstream anymore when I started driving.

One of my chores, once I got the car was to go to a local dairy (up the gravel road) and get milk in wide-mouth gallon jars with wax paper under the lid. It was churned for the butter.

The paint that got eaten off the front valance [of my '57 Beetle] was jet-black Imron enamel, which was new at the time. Same Beetle as in my avatar, after the front clip was replaced.

I'm not sure why they don't. I mean, a G2 Insight? Thousands of dollars of hybrid technology and yet it struggles to beat a Metro that's 12 years older than it when it comes to MPG.

Btw the purple one in the video has an alternator delete, roof-solar panel to charge some special batteries that run the car, busted grill block, MPGuino, water temperature display, RE92 LRR tires, and an engine kill switch. It smokes my G2 Insight any day.
