The roofline is too fast in both plan and elevation.Just not enough length to pull it off.
She is pretty though, and might get a conversation going about aero in rarified social circles. That might lead to harder questions which might lead to harder engineering. Can't hurt!
Thanks for posting!

It's time to go " Back to the future" with this type of styling.

Or as Alex Tremulis would say,"ahead into the past."

I just went through the whole thread. Some really great stuff in here! The reason I bumped it is to ask if anyone has heard anything about the pillbug reproduction. It seems many people do these kind of things; for example the only existing Voisin Laboratoire is a reproduction (I believe from the 80's). Thanks for all the info! I'll try to help where I can.

Since you mentioned the Laboratoire, permit me to introduce you to the great Andre LeFebvre, who actually drove it in the Italian Grand Prix (sorry, Gran Premio) in 1922.
He then joined Citroen, where his passion for light weight and aerodynamics were welcome, and went on to design the DS19, the 2CV, (I think he also played a big part in the Traction-Avant)
Here's a little gem of his that few know about.

1956???

I swear that thing's 1986

Thank you for that tidbit! I can see where the DS got some of its inspiration.

Some of it's inspiration??!? LeFebrve was the inspiration. Here's a great link on the DS19,
Déesse Ex Machina: The Remarkable Citroën DS

and while you're there, check out the Traction-Avant piece. He did that too, and the 2CV to boot.

Quick. How many Grand Prix drivers can you name who were personally responsible for three ground breaking mass production automobiles?

First modern wing car?

Porsche seems to have anticipated Jim Hall's Chaparral by by about 30 years, just seeking traction to overcome wind resistance. His contemporary F1 cars made dry pavement feel like ice. Anybody know of an earlier wing car?
