Wow. Doing something right. They will need a way to store the excess power eventually. I guess Tesla will be calling soon.

...and the other 99.9% of the time they pay 33 cents per kWh. If this is what getting paid to use electricity costs, then they can keep it.

My November bill: $41.59 / 84 Kwh = 50 cents/Kwh.

Dec bill: $33.58 / 272 kWh = 12 cents per KwH.
Fire your utility board members.

Yeah, I've known my "cooperative" sucks for years. Doesn't change the point.
But that also brings up another point: were I a heavy electricity user my cost/Kwh would drop dramatically. So much for conservation incentive.

They should have opened bitcoin mines. Another power wasting fad. They should base bitcoin production on hand shoveling the elderly's sidewalks in the north not running massive computers to crack random number codes.

Bet you're not figuring in your line connection costs in that. So you could do even better, just turn off all electricity for a month, and get infinite $/Kwh :-) |
