They work well enough that my effective riding season is extended, and cost under $10 to make from coroplast I got from home depot.
I had something like that for my helix but made of plexiglass. I might just try that on my pcx. On a side note, I like your hand guards. I saw those on eBay, but didn't think they would fit. How do you like them?

I do like them but wish they were bigger, and they required a fair bit of trimming to fit.

Sendler, could you please share your modifications to the stock exhaust? Also, any ill effects on exhaust longevity as its been a couple of years? Thanks!

There has been no change in the longevity if the pipe. I have 20,000 miles now. I took me a few tries to find the right spot. Just drill a hole which lets the gas out after the cat but before the long skinny pipe. Measure back from the weld and drill up at a 45 degree angle so you don't even have to remove the pipe. Mine got a bit loud at full throttle so I would go with a slightly smaller hole.

Sendler, just to clarify...you posted above to drill at a 45 degree angle. Was that 45 degree as from the passenger side? Or 45 degree from bike front to back? Also, is that the catalytic converter seen through the hole? If so I better be careful not to let the bit impact that. Thanks again in advance.

I wanted the hole down and away from the bike so that is the angle with the ground. The pipe for the cat is just inside the outer can so stop drilling when you break through. There are some brackets that I encountered with the first couple test holes that aren't pictured in the cutaway photo so that is why I have included the measurement photo.

Sendler, my apologies. I didn't save your pictures and now can't view them. If memory serves the hole was 5" from the front weld on the muffler, correct?

3 inches from the outlet weld at a 45* angle from the bottom. Use slightly less area than I did as it is a bit loud on full throttle.
