Dang.....that's allot......I almost never drive far so a 34 gal tank lasts me 2 weeks and 4 days normally. Heck I normally fill up on 1/4 left!

Getting a car soon though so this will improve even more!

While EOCing this morning I got passed by a Jeep whose plate read 15MPG. 5 miles later I was 4 cars behind him when our paths diverged.

I got 45.2 mpg for the morning. I got to work a few minutes early, so I apparently left some mpg on the table. I wonder if he got to work early too?

I get this crap from a couple kids that work at O'rileys everytime I go to get parts for my insight. They talked sooooooo much crap to me when gas was 2.25 a gallon, but now that's it's over 3.30 again, they don't even open their mouths.

I apologize for the egregious grammatical error. Thank you, Xist. The world is a safer place.

Speed = distance / time. When Mouth Kid pulls over to fill up (again), you open your lead even more. I've watched your development of your ride, Mouth Kid calls it "stock," which only underscores how much credence his opinion merits.

I don't drive fast much. I prefer slow, small cars - and for spirited driving I still think small cars are more fun. But I would take that Talon for a spin before I gave a Ram a second glance. Probably kill myself, but before that happened I'd have a blast.

My diesel suburban is 2wd and rides low to the ground and has highway tires. Best of all it gets over 20mpg and I keep it parked unless I need it.
That 7.4L gas powered 3/4 ton suburban I picked up only wanted it so I could put my diesel and transmission in it from my rusty half ton suburban.

I enjoyed the story.

This photo seems appropriate here. All of the online reviewers for this road said that a high clearance vehicle is required to gain access to this parking lot. While I did have to do a lot of steering to keep the frame off the ground, I made it right along side the only other vehicle in the lot, and found it hilarious to park next to him. Averaged 50+ MPG on that trip.

Gas won't stay "cheap" forever here in the US. I'm predicting the average price back up close to $4/ gallon or higher by the 4th of July.
