Too bad you don't see Citroens in the US. I'd totally get some of those. Also they aren't flashy, so no reason not to put on moon discs.

All I did was google, but I found a site that claims coating a set of 15" wheels should require 2 lbs powder. More than I thought. That is 4 or 8 added pounds rotational mass.

Searching for light wheels for my 99' Aurora.

Does anyone have links to find the lightest 7J 16" et40 wheels? Or any wheel size sufficiently compatible.

"Audi A8 D2 5x112 ET42 7 J x 16" are pretty light in the list, and maybe compatible... My car has 5x115 bolts.
But I can't find any for sale even if they are compatible.

They aren't 16" and I don't have numbers, but I was shocked by how light the wheels on my volt are. They are 7x17, 5x115, 38mm offset

I don't know how light weight they are, but the Canadian GE (2009-2013) Fit LX model had these wheels in the 15" size: http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...sc00811lwh.jpg which look very similar to the 14" wheels on the 1st generation hoda insight. Unfortunately they weren't available in the US. Aluminum, with the benefit of the very flat face for aerodynamics... perhaps we can come up with another list for highly aerodynamic wheels...

Under 12lbs for my stock '97 wheels? I'll have to weigh my wheel covers, but if that's true, I just got a lot less interested in other options...

In case someone search for these wheels, here are original part numbers:
  • 5401.H6
  • 5401.L7

AFAIK, the difference is lug nut shape (flat and sphere) and L7 should be the lightest.

They are still on sale and pretty cheap.
