I have no experience with replacing a ima battery and know people with bumblebee and hybrid revolt units.

I can tell you the sticks you see for sale on ebay and such are from the back door of the 1 factory in China and those will fail shortly after install.

I think bumble bee said he can help gen 2 insight owners, so thats who Id call when my ima light comes on as I am out of warranty.

So you're saying the subpacks used by Bumblebee (and presumably others) are different?

In my opinion the quality of chinese produced products can vary from decent, maybe even good, to absolute junk. Due diligence is required to keep you from making a purchase decision that saves a little now but cost a fortune later.

Reputable manufacturers that have a history of quality products and the financial strength and history to back up their warranties will be your best bet. If that is not possible approach their (chinese) claims of quality and value with extreme skepticism.

What I am saying is that the companies that resell the sticks in America dont all test, sort or match sticks. Maybe this has changed, but it makes a difference in performance.
