Previa: when my son inherited one and started driving it, I realized they were all over the place. The local taxi company liked them and fielded nice clean examples.

I don't think you could get AWD and a turbo; but the Canadian imports had an optional tachometer. The ultimate Previa would combine the 3 options.

Freebeard - my 5 speed Previa doesn't have a tach, but I have seen it in automatic models here. You'd think if they were going to make the effort to add a tach, they'd do it in the one with the 3rd pedal?

**MetroMPG - DO NOT SCROLL DOWN!**

I haven't been to the Pick A Part in ages, but I was there yesterday looking for some 25 year old Mercedes parts, and I spotted this...

No rust, but at least it was an automatic.

And this was at the auction a while back. 236k KMs I seem to remember. 5 speed. Clean little car. It thankfully did not go to the scrap guy!

Ya it was beyond saving, it was so tweaked the motor had shifted about 6 inches off kilter. Who knew that a 20 year old Suzuki clone convertible wouldn't take a hit well??

You think that's hard to see? Have you seen the G1 Insight with the K24a wedged into it? ...And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth...

I did see another unmolested G1 Insight on Sunday in Ladner while driving mine. No time for a pic.

+1 on the Previa as best van. They threw a lot of development money at that one. 4 valve per cylinder, mid engine, classic design, 4x8 ply slides right in to the back. Handles like a car. Is capable of 36mpg at the hands of a skilled ecomodder. *cough*

Ya I agree, just imagine what you could do with a 5 speed one! *More coughing*

The potential is staggering! Now where could one find such a rare beast if one didn't already own one? *heavy hacking*

Whoa whoa whoa...am I interpreting your hacking correctly? You have a 5 speed Previa? And you didn't get it from me??? Ouch, now that's just looooow. You know that here at War_Wagons Eco Ride Emporium we'd rather make a friend than a customer! I'm hurt I must say. If you're looking for me I'll be in a dark room somewhere being moody and introspective, and listening to Joy Division haha
