It will probably kill me in the long run but right now I'm very well.

A friend of mine had an "embrionary tumour" removed from his brain about 5 years ago, it was a complex surgery but now he's all-right.

PeterS, so sorry to hear of your misfortune, Chemo and radiotherapy is as bad as it gets, takes a while for the body to recover.
Sell the beemer and come and play.

I've had it pretty easy Pete, no ill effects at all aside from a bit of metal anguish about having a bloody brain cancer .

Having a serious illness does change your outlook on life. Once a month I am guest speaker at a church service in a nursing home. Having a close relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ makes all the difference in the world.

That friend of mine who had a brain tumour that I mentioned before told me that going to the operating room not knowing if he would get out alive made him feel "like a Jewish going to a Nazi murdering camp".

I was lucky there, I just lay down at home with a VERY nasty headache , Carol couldn't wake me and called an ambulance. I woke up coming out of an MRI with a nice man in a white coat saying ,"Sign here". I signed and woke up in Intensive Care the next morning after a craniotomy. No pain and because this is Australia, no bill either.

You're lucky to not be Brazilian. Public healthcare facilities here looks more like slaughterhouses, and the so-called "supplementary health services" are expensive.

Glad to hear everything has gone well so far.

Be sure to get back on a bike as soon as you feel you are ready. That will help relieve some of the metal stress.
