Unfortunately, I am going to have bow out - two events are happening in our family (birthday party and horse riding competition) that were not on my calendar before.

I was looking forward to seeing and meeting you all, but the day is overfull.

Should we do a role call or consider cancelling it?

A roll call is always a good idea for meets. And as long as it's on I'm still in.

I scrolled through all the posts here, checking who expressed interest and who bowed out recently. It looks good to me; I see five people who haven't bowed out.

Expected at the event:
Me - Bruce Pick
Sheepdog44
Formula413 (moving this weekend but looking good!)
FordFiestaS
changzuki

Bowed out:
Smokey (hit a deer)
NeilBlanchard (family events)
BlownB310 (going to Clarkson U)

I'm pleased with five.

Here's the link to the route that Sheepdog (Robert A) so kiindly prepared:
Mount Geylock MPG rally course - Pittsfield, MA

I plan to print six copies and bring them with me, but that doesn't say you can't print them for yourself too.

Everyone still aboard? I hope so...

Where I work was under a 7 hour lockdown because of a social media threat. This has caused a huge backlog of work that has to now be completed this weekend. So I'll be working Sunday.

Looking forward to your results At Mt. Greylock - good luck!

Dang!
And then there were four.

I think anyone else reading this should already understand:
We are definitely interested in additional participants! The meeting place is in Pittsfield, MA. Many details are in this thread's first post. Post #54 slightly above has a link to the route map and step-by-step routing. If you're interested, just post a note here, or pm me. Or you certainly can just show up!

Be advised, I'm driving up to the area a day early - tomorrow (Sat). So I'll have limited opportunity to read and post messages before the event. If you just show up Sunday by noon or sooner, I'm good with that.

Forecast shows rain from noon to two pm.

Our options:

Meet and drive at noon, as planned
Meet at 9:30 or 10 am. Should be dry.
Meet at 3 pm. Rain should be gone then.

Thoughts? I prefer 9:30 am but I don't know if people are driving from a distance.

I got forecast from weather.com.

I had a nice drive today. There is only one 2 mile section of road in bad condition, but the alternative is a 14% grade climb that is worse.

Do we want to to do two fill ups? Two stages, one at the halfway point about 20 miles in where we'll have our best numbers, and one at the end after we ascend and descend Greylock? . Because the climb up Greylock will not give very impressive numbers.

I'm not sure if 20 miles is too short for a fill, i'm used using the FCD display. At the halfway point which ends at a beautiful endless downhill coast i had low 80's mpg readings.
