Chrome is just an excuse to use Plastidip.

I just Plastidipt my bumpers; the front one to protect it because it's new, and the back one to cover the blemishes in the chrome and have them match.

The lug nuts and hubs, though, I'd soak repeatedly with Ospho, or equivalent (Coca Cola? Molasses?)

actually dipped the grille, and part of the headlights (no light blocked) and painted the taillght chrome with translucent red. Looks a lot better! Got my 17" wheels with summer tires on, and took the chrome lugs off my old car to replace the rusty ones that came on this car.

also just had my best tank, 38.3 MPG! it's finally a steady warm/hot temp no more cold mornings to kill mpg. Lowering the car this weekend finally, that should help a bit when im on the highway which is 90% of my driving.

hoping to crack 40+MPG soon!

You could pair the lowering with modest wheel spats.

likely going to add a 1 to 1.5" lip around the whole car which would help as well. Likely wont do wheel spats. Not going to go too extreme with this car. Honestly Im already more than happy with the MPG im getting. my old focus would get around 30 MPG average. and my truck only gets 14 MPG. so, 30+ is good in my books.

'Modest' wheel spats would be less noticeable than a 1 1/2" skirt.

too much work haha.

got the car lowered though! Sitting very nice! 1.2" front, 1.25" in the rear. Nice drop, not too much but enough to make the perfect difference.
