Did you know we've got a bunch of people writing EcoModder blog entries on topics of interest to the efficiency-minded?

While some of the subject matter originates from threads here in the forum, the blog area of EM is different in that the topics are distilled & presented in a somewhat more polished (we hope!) "article" format. (Not everybody wants to read all 482 pages to learn about Project ForkenSwift, for example, so I wrote up a blog post that summarized the car.)

The blog tends to reach a different and wider audience than the forum. And thanks to Ben's prowess at getting the word out on social media sites, more than a few blog posts have made it to the top of Digg, Reddit, etc., and seen tens of thousands of readers as a result.

So, watch this forum for announcements about new (and some past) blog posts, and warm up your typin' finger to join the conversation!

not sure if you noticed this but I just did, on the blog front page you can see a line where it looks like headerL and headerR were merged from the forum page to create header.gif on the blog page

make sense?

I didn't notice it until you mentioned it - you're talking about the vertical line through the giant wrench logo?

Thanks for pointing it out. I believe there is still some tweaking/designing
to be done there.

Ok I am running Firefox 3 at 1280x1024 on a Dell 1907.

when I pull up the blog I see this:

it was obvious to me cuzz I pulled down the two headers from the forum to make a banner (to maybe help generate traffic to ecomodder) and it is the exact place where the two pics meet up.

oh this is the banner as of now, I wanted to do more with it but maybe later

It's a really a Rorschach Test...

If you see a Wrench, you're a hands-on Modder
If you see the White-E, you're intuitive and observant
If the wrench appears to be Turtle-Head, you've spent too much time looking at it

What if you see both ?
I saw it the first time out ( both the wrench and the 'E' )
The green color also goes along with the Eco theme.
I commented on this a while back.
Very clever design !
