I installed a CAI in my Chrysler 3.8 for easier air intake, not for cold air intake. There is no baffle or divider between the VERY hot exhaust manifold and filter cone 'cept a couple of flatted big beer or Monster drink cans(depending on which one vibrates off), to keep overheating the cone.
That's all...
P.S. sounds little like a race minivan

P.S.S. Made a trip 2,560 total miles @ speed
(loaded both ways) from IAH to AUS to PHX(month ago), PHX back to IAH (2 weeks ago):
Trip there ~ 24.7 with Austin rollers and much stop and go, trip back, 25.7 more loaded but only necessary stops.
MPG's from center console so actual MPG's ARE dif. I'm adjusting here for my lack of computation skills but 22.6 and 23.2 ?
Anyone care to calculate better?

YNYAEM if you buy a CAI and use it as a WAI, that sounds slick!

Hello.

I am new here. I had to look up the word gas station in wikipedia. That is how I found here.

Karin and me are driving an 2010 i-MiEV (Mitsubishi electric car).

If you have to lookup gas station in wikipedia, maybe?

Drag and i-MiEV? I dont know for sure but I have found out it makes a wonderful addition to a lorry or a big SUV and might get you more miles than slowly driving on its own because the 12 volt system needs energy on its own and you can save that driving faster if you can catch a lorry on the highway at least.

Cheers
Peter and Karin

If you can't read Utube comments about Prii without wanting to hit somebody with a Lincoln Towncar!

Also if you know how to use the word "Prii" correctly!

Well... I like my Insight and cringe when I read what some people write about it ignoring facts and reason.
It must be the same for proud Prius owners, reading the blah in the comments 'with prying eyes'... hence the I's in Prii.

I calculated my celica's mpg to be 28.33 mixed driving.

Not bad,I think, as I tend to accelerate WOT in second gear.

I think changing the Bosch spark plugs to brand new DENSO's played a big role in this. Also its more torquey now on lower RPM's

Huge thread, these may have been said before but fit me:

.. you can look at your fuel gauge and know exactly how many gallons are in your tank, how much it will take to fill it up, and what range you have left.

.. you take the time to figure out the "best route" to and from routine destinations to get the best MPGs.

.. you can get great fuel economy from an automatic transmission.

.. you are willing to take out seats and attach all sorts of things to your car to squeeze out every single MPG despite everyone thinking you need a straight jacket.

.. you carry a notebook, pen, and calculator.. for the purpose of figuring your fuel economy.
