I really never followed up on it.
I was experimenting with running various combinations of regular gasoline (10% ethanol in my area) and E-85.
It appears that the "hotter-burning" fuel cleared up the problem!

Sir, your post on EGR valve problems, code 32 for your S10 are strangely similar to mine. I drive a 95 GMC sierra, v8 5.7L and have had the engine light on, bought the 'decoder ring,' if I can be humurous, and it showed code 12 and then 32. Last night there was dripping from my left front wheel well and determined that it looked like washer fluid. What did you end up doing to determine your problem?
Thanks for your help!
