Having just seen the topic about the Harley, I see how big your bike is now. I was under the impression it was a midsize bike, (going by the 440, which I assumed was engine size), as opposed to a nearly full-dresser bike.

I'm sure you enjoyed the "special" road test.

100 amps... Yikes. That's quite a bit. What kind of FE would that bike have gotten on it's ICE, do you know?

Ben, about how many amps does your KZ pull when going along at 45mph? (I'm assuming you're still at 48V)

Yo Troublemaker....I enjoyed your latest pics. Your car has really been a project!
My diesel Metro sits non-opped in the back yard. I am up against the smog test and have to reinstall the gas engine.....sometime. But I got deisel-ized and bought a diesel boat. The Metro fan in me said to build wipers with 90 Geo parts. Even the pee nozzles are Metro but the fluid tank is Ford Bronco. It pays to save parts... Good luck with your project and hope you can dream up some..ah,...variable brush timimg!!!

    Ben,
My brakes are shot too. Did you go with the EVPerf brakes, or the old Cushman Haulster wheel cylinders? https://www.directparts.com/catalog/dire01/4255.htm

They look the same to me. I read somewhere that the Citi uses the Haulster brake system.

    Thanks,

    Hi Ben,
just started reading about your Metro Conversion... I know, it goes back a year, but if you're still looking for a cheap web-host, I can put you on my server for free. 500MB storage, 100GB bandwidth enough?

Hey Ben, how are ya.....a fellow Metro owner too?

I had a qestion for ya...I noticed in some of your discussions here you mentioned you noticed some rotting/rusting on your car in the control arm/unibody area up-front...have you done anything with that to repair it so far? I'm asking as it looks like one side on my 97 Metro rotted out and then failed tonight. I caught it early though and didnt allow a total failure, but now I have to repair the wheel area there somehow to properly restore the car to use. Have you had to repair yours yet? What have you found that was the proper way to do it or good ideas to go after to properly restore this part of the car?

Sir, your post on EGR valve problems, code 32 for your S10 are strangely similar to mine. I drive a 95 GMC sierra, v8 5.7L and have had the engine light on, bought the 'decoder ring,' if I can be humurous, and it showed code 12 and then 32. Last night there was dripping from my left front wheel well and determined that it looked like washer fluid. What did you end up doing to determine your problem?

    Thanks for your help!

Thanks paddlinphil. That was a cool video. My dad makes cedar canoes. I have been thinking of something along the same lines for a while.

Nice job on the bike. you were asking about buildng the cowling. I am converting a shaft drive Honda twin into an electric. The body is built with strips of cedar covered with fiberglass. There is quite abit of labor but it a beatiful wood grain finish in the end. The flames are inlayed mahogany. It you are interested in the construction method David Hazen wrote a book "The stripper;s guide to canoe-building. What is really freaky is he built an electric trike using the method.
