I've been busy with work, but still interested in trying to get some sort of CFD system set up so we (all of us) can fiddle around and find out numbers and benefits to potential modifications on our cars.

I did finally find the CFD thread on here where trebuchet03 had figured out how to import/scale down the Jetta model, and talk about getting a rolling ground plane to more realististically simulate a moving car on the road....

But the thread's dead/inactive, and not much more news.

I'd like to fiddle with a more open source way for doing CFD calculations (mainly because it's free, and the other options are WAY out of most of our price ranges), but I know there's no drop-in-and-go solution yet.

I have to set up my computer and tweak it a little, and then I'll see about compiling OpenFoam on windows (it can be done), and then find out from the ground up what needs to be done to make something useful.
