I'm pretty sure its that Plastic Window Insulation they use on windows in the winter.. Not sure if it actually works for windows, but we used them for our greenhouse boxes.

Works good as a grilleblock though because it is so tough, and it shinks slightly when it gets heated, so the heat from your engine on it prevents it from stretching.

No, but I'm gonna look it up. Since I got it for free in my shop class on the last day of school I never got to ask what it was called. I'll get back to you on that one soon.
