Was reading the thread about the Maxitrip and your experiences with it, and the side-topic about your problems with the forum.

Something worth double-checking, is whether or not your browser is actually allowing the forum's cookie to be saved on your PC... no cookie, no auto-login/remembering. It could be your browser's security settings, it could be your anti-virus software or firewall, any of these could be preventing the forum's cookie from being stored.

Of course, you want to be careful about lowering the security settings too much; as a public forum, this site like any site is one undocumented bug away from being hijacked by hackers to distribute malware.

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the Maxitrip, by the way... I only heard about it today while shopping at Princess Auto (I'm in Canada), and "luckily" (?) they were out of stock. Even at $98.88 (compared to the $170 Cdn I paid for my Scangauge II), I'll have to think about it before picking one up for the second car.
