Also keep in mind that the cycle now has a pretty big front fairing including "shorty" windshield and rear cargo hard cases. That all adds a bit of weight and frontal area to the cycle, although it does keep me warmer in the cold wind!

OK - I had to go outside and do a road test just special for you. The KZ440, running at 48V pulls about 100 amps. I could only get up to 40, not 45 mph right now. I was NOT on a fresh charge, and it is cold out (it snowed this morning!)
Still, I think 100 amps is a fair statement. I also hadn't checked my tire pressure, but they didn't look low to the eye. Sorry about the slow response to your question, I usually don't get messages this way through Ecomodder

I don't know! I never measured it before! I haven't been using the cycle much this summer, but I did finally instal an ammeter on it!
