Hi - saw your post re. the mods to your HX.

My next car will likely be a '96 or later Civic. Rather than the hard-to-find HX - - - -

How about swapping the taller tranny into a more common Civic like an HX or LX? Which tranny would I want to get? Not too huge a job if I want to pay for the labor?

We've been driving Volvo 240's since '95. If I keep my current one till it dies it may last another ten years. Eventually wifey will agree that the fuel savings is worth the cost of getting a 'new' car.
