I got ambitious and annoyed with my lack of progress with the e-motorcycle/bike, so I stuffed the motor in to an old, cheap ebike frame that happened to have an almost wide enough drop-out to hold...

Find where it's spliced in to the backup light. Cut it there. Heat shrink it, if possible. Electrical tape it off it not.

You could leave an inch or so of stub and clip the heat shrink over that....
