It's likely a combination of the new tires, a less rolling resistant tire & the winter fuel blend.
Higher pressures will always result in improved rolling resistance, especially between 30-50 psi.

Yes, the thinner oil may give you a slight improvement, especially on cold starts. OTOH, brand new tires may reduce your MPG's compared to your previous tires until they wear in a bit.

No, just makes it easier to record miles traveled w/o instrumention when calculating MPG. 25-50 miles should work too, but the more the better.
