My (230V AC) electric engine prewarmer had to be installed on the coolant hose going from the cabin's heating core back to the engine block, wouldn't fit anywhere else.

More than Tesla trying to save less than 1% of the retail price of the car, seems like it's more the owner's fault, as it had been a salvaged car with the brakes not properly mantained.
