Which diner was it? Do you remember about where it was?

Keep in mind that Troy's population is so large because they actually take Troy, East Troy, and the outlying regions of town into consideration also.

Maybe not E. Troy... but the rest of those little bungalow hut farmland stretches.

This is going back a few years but I remember the diner being like a very small house (tan colored maybe) on the side of the highway as you exit the east side of town...heading towards Towanda.

The other crazy lot of equipment in Troy is the place they sell all that new farming equipment. There's alot of farms there but there were like 50 pieces of huge farming equipment being sold...who buys all that stuff (probably priced in the hundreds of thousands of dollars).

Ah, that diner is still there, but it's under new management (for the 300th time) I can't remember what it's called now, but they still only take cash as payment.

There were two farm equip places there, actually, except one is border-line columbia cross-roads. that would be White Tractor.

the one Closest to Troy is actually in East Troy, which is AgCo (something like that).

Those fat heads wouldn't hire me as a mechanic because I wouldn't use their tools. (Not precision tools, basic wrenches and such.. ) I prefer using my own tools.

Farmer's buy that equipment. No advantage to have that expensive equipment displayed in a big city far from the potential buyers. The implement dealer's sales/service area is probably something like 70-100 mile radius. (About what it is around here anyway.)

I'm not in tune with the farm equipment market so you would know much more about it than me. It's just a bit alarming when you drive into tiny Troy, PA and see a field full of huge machines! I guess if they are still in biz then they are doing ok.

Most of the machines they have there anymore are for repairs or have been refurbished.

Some of them are still new, and have been there probably since you remember seeing them.
