100 hp 1 Mile with good aero 199.7 km/h

You dont need 200+ hp to go fast on a one mile drag race. All it takes is lightweight car in this case my Lupo 2l which weight was with driver 880 kg. Car had max 100 hp. Most importantly the Cd value is low it should be in the range of 0.20.

The result was that I was able to reach 199.7 km/h with standstill start. Later will come list which cars were slower.

Looks like fun, but as you probably ascertained, the gearing seems way to low for that task. It looks like you barely made it into 4th by the end of the run and had a very slow start. I would think you should want to gear it so you are winding out in 6th(or 5th if a 5 speed) and have much more torque off the line and probably across the board. Still nice work, probably just pointing out the obvious

The wind noise was a little puzzling too.

I'd say you have to work on your launch technique ...
... but you might well have been saving the gearbox / clutch

I think 100 horsepower is optimistic the way that thing took off.

Way to go!

I've always liked the standing mile as a better test of total car performance than the American affinity for the 1/4 mile. A blend of power and aerodynamic prowess gives you the best results. Your Lupo did well.

Official results are in and measured speed was only 199.7 km/h :/. I wish I knew that yesterday so I would have driven second run.

http://www.speedconcept.fi/images/ti...3_tulokset.pdf

I took off in second gear and it was not the perfect start. I have been told that it does not matter much to the top speed on a mile how you lauch off from the line. First gear is so short that in testing second gear have worked better as there turbo is not able to get boost properly up on first gear.

100 hp is max estimation on current injectors. Propably closer to 95.
