13" tires

.I've been looking for some 13" tires and can't seem to find anything priced reasonable, everywhere I find that has 13's is wanting near $100 per tire. When 13's were common you could buy a whole set for about $100. Does anyone know where I can find some decent priced 185/80/13's? I guess if I can't find any 13" tires I'll have to hunt up some 14" rims.

Walmart sells Douglas 175/70 13 for ~$25/tire, with a decent mileage warranty. Its a common size, so alot of places carry it.

Thanks. I'll have to check again, but I was thinking I ask at the local Walmart and they said they didn't have any 13's.

I bought Kuhmo 793s in a 175/70/13 for my wagon, after 40,000ish KMs overinflated they still had lots of tread left. I think they were $35 a piece from OK Tire (don't know if they are in the States or not). Worked great in the snow too, I would buy them again if I needed 13s.

I had to go to a junk yard today to get a transmission cable for my '02 Escort so while I was there I looked to see if I could find any decent 13" tires on any of the junkers. I found a Toyota with two 175/80/13's that were nearly new tires. They didn't even have the little rubber tips that are on new tires worn off yet. I got both tires for $32.and some odd cents including tax, now all I have to do is take them and have them mounted on my Ford wheels and balanced.
