Finishing up

Finished bed today.

Maiden voyage is postponed. Still working on the title. I need to hook up lights and put a fan on the HV battery. So close.

Lookin' Good!

Make sure you title it as the Chevy and not the Prius. You could get into a world of hurt otherwise by "disabling" the factory safety features. You have made mager enhancements to the old Chevy truck...

This is so freaking cool. Dude, you're my hero.

They need to come out with awesome old looking hybrids like this from the factory. I guarantee they would sell the **** out of them. Imagine a hybrid with a light weight body that looked like a 49 Mercury sled. Or a Studebaker. Oh man.

Are you going to oil that wood? You could scorch it with a propane torch and then scrape it and use penetrating oil.

For a while I thought you were going to fit it with a stake bed similar to those used in farm trucks. But anyway, that's looking great.

As long as it can overcome the safety regulations for newer cars, it would probably be a good idea. What about a Toyota 40-series Land Cruiser with the driveline out of that Lexus NX300h?

Definitely going with the 46 title. I have a friend who is Ohio highway patrol, and he said a Prius title would throw a red flag. Plus there are so many cars with different drivetrains and suspensions, it a common practice to title body's.

The truck was a factory flatbed. Tried to get it as close as possible. Not that I'm a purist. I will attempt to put stake sides on it some day. I need to weigh it before I add anymore weight. Any guesses before I put it on the scales?

No guesses. But anyway, haven't you already figured out what to do with the stock differential housing?
