1972 Datsun EV - 11 second 1/4 mile

Guy with a 1972 Datsun has installed an electric motor and is busy beating a Corvette, a BMW M3, and others on a drag strip in Oregon. (Looks like A123 was suppling some of his batteries.)

Didn't mention how long the car can cruise assuming he wasn't burning the batteries drag-racing, but it's an interesting story nonetheless.

I think he was getting 30-35 miles with city driving, if I remember correctly, and at least in his version of his car he was running lead acid air craft starter batteries.
