FWIW, this is where I ran my wires in my Corolla.

On the inside, the wire poked it's head through here.

To give you an idea of where this is, the silver plate with the two brass bolts is the gas pedal arm and the back of the radio is just to the right of the pic.

Thanks Jeff for all the help, I'm in LA atm so I'm not gonna do anything with it now but I will definitely take a look in the morning to see what I can find. What did you use for wire? I like that clean thin black wire you used.

The wire came with the temp. gauge I bought, but it's not going to be difficult to find ones similar. You can go to a donation store and get some old headphones for cheap and then chop off the ends.

But before you go installing wires unnecessarily, you will want to figure out how many connections you need to make onto the Arduino board. At that point you can figure out how many/what kind of wire you'll want to use. Depending on how many connections you need to make, you might decide to use something like telephone wire (4 wires) or CAT5 cable (8 wires). It also depends on where the sensors you need are located within the engine bay.

So figure out how many connections you need and then find where all the components are that you need to access. It will save you a lot of trouble in the long run.
