Yoy..............What a deal, what a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!

My Corolla just turned over 237K yesterday.......What a solid vehicle!

Daox, on another posting you were selling or commenting about a Tercell you had, that it also used oil. Is that common for toyota's?

Thanks,
Dave

Well, at 237k your piston rings are probably pretty worn. That'll cause oil consumption (noticed that on my sister's 96 celica w/ 194k on it). On the Tercels, you noticed a puff of white/blue smoke at startup. That was caused by the valve stem seals leaking oil past them.

WOW! That's a killer deal on any nice Tercel especially a diesel! Only $300 more than mine and with 2 more doors. I was also told that Tercels burn oil, but mine does not even with 212K, then again I drive it very gently and believe it may have been towed for many of those miles. If I ever see that diesel Tercel for sale again I will do everything in my power to buy it.

I must say it seems quite rare to see any Toyota Diesels here stateside let alone a Toyota diesel sedan, and a Tercel at that. I sure would buy it.
used to have a 84' Tercel wagon 6spd 4wd (had a granny gear). tuff little bugger. wish we stiill had it.
