cars are shipped in?
wow.
my old sube is from alaska, best buy auto in ketchikan. I am trying to get another sticker,as the business is still open, and I want to repaint for part of the cars restore. that town is right on the coast. I could assume a seattle delivery (a very major port there) by boat and then haul, or all boat to ketchikan.

anyhoo, I imagined alaska and cars as everything but a honda (no kidding, I am evil about hondas). I am in maine and temps are comparable in the heights of winter (freakishly so), except, you most likely get more darkness and more light...
that line of long days and nights is 360 miles due north from me. the canadian border makes it seem a million miles away to the rest of the world. (Maine really is North).
Looking forward to posts about your mods out that way.
the cessna. It has my favorite engine.

I like the Contental O-300 in that plane but a lycoming O-360 would be nice, more power, fewer cylinders to overhaul less often. The bottom end of the contental is bullet proof but the top ends on those things but man are they smoooth.

South east AK has nice winters (if you like rain) out here they are brutal, lots of 20 below (f) and 20 miles an hour of wind. South central is about the best, not too cool plenty of snow and not too much wind. Any way, got to get back to packing. We are moving here in the next few months so not much in the way of mods till spring.

Bestclimb
