The 2010 Prius Looks Like What?

Like this, in fact. At first, I was a bit hesitant to post these pictures because they came from a “leak” and might not have been authentic. Suprisingly, Toyota fessed up that these were the real pictures. Now the blogosphere is abuzz with rumors that perhaps the leak was intentional to hype up the new [...]

I truly don't care what it looks like. I'm more interested in the fuel economy numbers. I wonder if we'll know more about that when the car is "officially" displayed in Detroit.

The front end has a lot more Corolla in it. Overall not as dorky/cutesy as the current model. Compared to the Insight and Volt those mirrors are HUGE. No skirts. No wheel discs. Gaping front end with indented lights/signals. I think Toyota played it very safe in a part of the car market that is going to get a lot more crowded in the next couple of years.

Despite their knowing what they should be aiming for (see the super-efficient light weight 1/x concept), Toyota suffers from the same disease that afflicts almost all other automakers: meaning, this new Prius will be fatter than the previous ones.

SVOboy -

I like the spyshots of the new Honda Insight more. The Prius is losing it's design distinction (i.e. a Corolla look-a-like as others have said).
