I see my cars page has not been visited...lol

Current Mods: Scanguage II-2012/06/18; 18" OEM 2013 Mustang GT wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires-2012/07/03; Roush Axle Back Exhuast, Roush Front Fascia, Roush Air Front Splitter, Roush Side Splitters, Roush Grille Block-2012/07/18; Roush Cold Air Induction, GT/CS Rear Valance-2012/10/05; Air dam & Upper Grille Block-2012/10/18; Antenna Delete-2013/01/06; Lower grille block-2013/05/11;

As of 5/11, I have 100% grille block. Probably helping my 3 tank average of 38+ mpg.

I ran an underbody for a little while, but am just now getting it professionally (on a lift, not me 1 inch underneath the car on blocks in winter) done.

I am glad I have a decent design, but I will attempt the kammback. One, because I already bought most of what is needed, and two, because looking at the design, I think it can be better. It does excite me that the design is well done.

My Cd has definitely been dropped from the .38 (for the v6) that it originally was. .36 was for the GT front fascia, which I had for a while, but replaced it with the more so efficient Roush fascia- which then went with more tweaks- in mod list.

I called nine shops- only one would do it, they are installing it for me- for insurance purposes, I am "not allowed to work..."

I believe I can witness, or be present.

I was excited because you and others found shops that would let you, and one dealer let me under my car for a bit, but no one was willing to let me go underneath it and DO something.

There is actually a chain out here called U Fix It Automotive - Do It Yourself, and Do It Right! where I plan on going to do some repairs on my car, at least those that I cannot do in front of Autozone, and I think that there is a place a few miles north of me where I can rent garage space, but I cannot find it.

I felt like I got lucky when I found the shop in Sacramento.

I just assumed it wouldnt be to hard to find......

When I installed it....I was on the ground. I had made ramps that were 3 or 4 2X6 tall.

I would buy some clear acrylic or lexan and create a surface from the top of the front bumper to the leading edge of the hood, getting rid of that shark nose. You could do it with blue painters tape and see if it helps. Looks like we live relatively close to one another (Detroit area?) so if you need a hand at coast down testing or whatever don't be shy!

Thank you, I am about three hours out from Detroit. I will be testing the kammback, but everything else I am pretty sure is working, at least a little.

No doubt the Escort enjoys a nice frontal area advantage too...
From your link:

The boxy shape was aided by aero enhancements that included a chin spoiler and a large flat rear spoiler that assisted in the Escorts shape defying drag coefficient of .38
I have to agree that the old Escort enjoys a smaller frontal area advantage, no way else to explain the near matching Cd numbers with the new Mustang.

Yes it is close, scale it down a tiny bit and it's a perfect match.

That template is supposed to work on small and large cars alike, and up to 200 mph, right?

Keep in mind that Cd is independent of frontal area; CdA between the two would be revealing.
