3 years with Cooper CS4 195/65R15 T

it's been 3 years now, only reason the fronts wore faster than the rears is a few parts wore down because of using EOC and hitting a speed bump at between 40 and 50 mph, not wanting to slow down. i kept them aired to 50. here's the miles i put on them:

they have an 80,000 mile wear rating so i think my money was well spent.
rears would still pass inspection so will be keeping them a little longer.
gathering parts to get the front back in shape.
CS4 has been replaced by Cooper CS5 Grand Touring 195/65R15 91T. cost is less than $70.00 each and wear rating is still 80,000. think i read that they are quieter. they helped me get a 59.6 lifetime mpg with 2 years since i started the fuel log.

Cool, looks like I'll be getting a pair in the same size for the front of my XFE for summers. That will be a lot of summers.

Thats quite a bit of life out of a tire (IMO). How are they for rolling resistance?

you can say that again.

copied from here:
http://www.moderntiredealer.com/chan...ing-tires.aspx
".............. new silica tread compound significantly improves the wet handling performance of the CS5 tires versus the line it replaces, the CS4. The CS5 is the first Cooper product to use the new compound, which contains four times more silica than the CS4’s compound. In addition to improving wet traction, the extra silica in the tread compound shortens stopping distance and lowers rolling resistance without giving up tread wear."
“The Grand Touring has a compound that is tuned for the consumer set, such as the Dodge minivan customer,” says Sanborn. ......
I take that as, it's not for the sportier driver, which I'm not.
"The tires are produced at the company’s Tupelo, Miss., manufacturing plant ...."
good news to me, I was told they were being outsourced.
