Gee, What increase does Boxy get going from 35/39 to 40/44 and 44/48? Does 51/55 get even higher?
The rolling resistance wasn't increased from raising the PSI.

I've been running sidewall on some Walmart specials and last week threw a tread. Why? Probably because it was 107°F in Texas and I was running 75 mph for 3 hours. Guess the specials aren't designed for the high temperature of a Texas summer.

It depends on the car. Personally, I noticed quite a difference between 65 PSI (Which was in part due to error of a public air pump) and 45 PSI as far as driving a 2000 Caravan goes. The van did coast longer at 65 than at 45, though.

The post reads rolling distance, not rolling resistance.

Many gen 1 insight owners use 60, 80 to even over 100 psi for the road rallys and mpg races.
I'll tell you I don't get over the "firmerness," (great word BTW) at all. Getting the car back from the shop for brake work, evidently one of the services provided is to have the tire pressures "adjusted;" I was certain a brake was dragging until I put a gauge on the tires. Holy cats, 30? Are they ALL leaking? No, wait....

*ppsssshhhtt* 44psi! Ahhhh, there's the ride quality I'm looking for. And my glides are back.
