Cowl screen

Just took a pic of the T-Racer's engine compartment cover and decided to share this addition as well:

When I first got the car the HVAC basically did not work- no air would flow through the system. It took me an entire afternoon to drop the blower from behind the glove box and use hands, sticks, that cable grabby-fingers thing, shop vac, and compressed air hose to get all the leaves and mouse nest outta there! Yeah, it was a big one and during that time I spent digging through those virtually inaccessible ducts and whatnot I thought, "Are there no trees or rodents in Detroit? Then why are the engineers so $&%*# DUMB!!! "

Well, just because they were asleep on the job doesn't mean I have to suffer through this nonsense again. I fashioned these nice screens and as you can see, they work.

Nice! I was lucky enough to buy a car that has screening already put in behind the grilles. Guess engineers in Japan are more awake than their Detroit counterparts.

Mouse nest, eh?

That thing was the Granddaddy of nests; could have filled an ice cream pail.
