54.5 mpg, 1st tank hypermiling ('08 Toyota Yaris manual)

A few weeks ago I got gas & checked my numbers and came up with 45.3 mpg and it got me thinking. That's when I found this site and researched new driving techniques. My 1st full tank hypermiling got me 54 mpg and I was astonished. This was before adding air in the tires! After filling up two days ago I bumped my air pressure from 36 to 41 psi to try and tell a difference. The last two days my numbers have been significantly worse than before and at first I attributed it to the tires. But after searching these threads, I am chalking it up to the weather which has been much colder and windy, and am hoping to return to the incredible figures I was seeing last week.
I can't wait to do some more mods, but after seeing Donkey's MULE VX, I might get carried away. That car is awesome.

Good job, keep it up!
I'm probably going to ad a couple of more aero mods on my Festiva shortly, but by far the greatest increase for me came when I read the P&G and EOC threads here and applied them to my driving habits.
